Itinerary

A six day tour to this very scenic corner of South Africa. Touring is at a relaxed pace with accommodation selected in small, personal establishments with character.

Day 1, Cape Town - Montagu
Travel to Stellenbosch. Wine tasting and museum visit. Continue to Worcester and Robertson. Overnight: Montagu.

Day 2, Montagu - Oudtshoorn
Travel to Oudtshoorn and visit an Ostrich Farm. Tour of the Cango Caves. Overnight: Oudtshoorn. (B,L)

Day 3, Oudtshoorn - Knysna
Over the Outeniqua Pass to George. Continue to Knysna. Ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve and picnic lunch.
Overnight: Knysna. (B,L)

Day 4, Knysna
Excursion to the Tsitsikamma Forests and the millionaire’s playground of Plettenberg Bay. Overnight: Knysna. (B)

Day 5, Knysna - Hermanus
Via Mossel Bay and Swellendam to Hermanus, the world’s best shore based whale watching site. (Seasonal Aug-Nov).
Overnight: Hermanus. (B,L)

Day 6, Hermanus - Cape Town
Drive via the coastal road to Somerset West. Lunch at a wine farm. Continue to Cape Town late afternoon.
